Vancouver's Summer Market Favoured Buyers

Growing Inventory and MIA Buyers Contribute to a Summer Market where Home Sellers Outnumbered Purchasers

August 2012 in Vancouver's Real Estate Market was much slower than last year (down 30%) but please keep in mind that last August was atypical and much busier than previous years.  In saying that, I certainly noticed a bit of a slow down.  I was busy running around showing listings like crazy, but offers, oh precious offers, were very difficult to come by.  The buyers were out scoping things out, but most had very little urgency when it came to purchasing (or even writing an offer!).  The listings I did sell in August were sharply priced and were perceived as deals by the buyers who purchased them.

I'm hoping for a busy, productive Fall market, starting now!  If you are thinking of buying or selling a Vancouver property or want hear more of my thoughts on our market contact me directly via my cell 778-387-6090 or my email info@kelsiestruch.com
